Responsibilities Include: - Guide the formulation and enhancement of raw materials and finished products, ensuring they meet market needs and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct market analysis to identify consumer trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for innovation.
- Conduct research and develop technical marketing materials and presentations, and deliver presentations as needed.
- Create and deliver training programs for sales teams, distributors, and customers to enhance their understanding of product benefits and applications.
- Build relationships with suppliers/industry influencers to stay abreast of industry developments and foster collaboration.
- Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of raw materials and adjust marketing strategies, including tradeshows.
- Identify new material distribution opportunities as well as new raw materials for manufacturing at tradeshows.
- Oversee creation of all Marketing literature and content as well as Sales tools.
- Oversee tradeshow planning and preparation and attend tradeshows.
- Oversee Marketing projects as well as Marketing Coordinators and their work.
- Oversee Trademark renewal.

- 5+ yrs. experience in formulating color cosmetics including lipsticks, foundation, pressed and loose powder; knowledge of skin care, sun care, and hair care products is a plus.
- Knowledge of cosmetic regulations and safety required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication/presentation and multi-tasking skills required
- Excellent computer skills required
- Experience overseeing direct reports required
- Some domestic and international travel required to support tradeshows and customer visits (post ending of COVID safety restrictions)

Production Supervisor – 3rd Shift

Kobo Products, Inc. located in S. Plainfield, NJ is seeking an experienced and energetic professional to join our team as a Production Supervisor on our 3rd shift (10pm-6am).
Job Requirements: - Minimum of 5-7 years batch making and operating experience with process milling equipment.
- Background working with powders and/or dispersions in the cosmetic and/or personal care industry preferred.
- Forklift experience required.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
- Operators are required to wear proper PPE – including, but not limited to, respirators. All operators must successfully pass a Pulmonary Function test through our preferred healthcare provider.
- Maintain reliability and excellent attendance, and possess and demonstrate professional, responsible behavior.
Responsibilities Include: - Overseeing 3rd shift production personnel.
- Distribute batch tickets, check availability of raw materials, and confirm correct raw materials and lots are being used in batches.
- Troubleshoot issues with batches and coordinate pack off once QC approval is received.
- Enforce SOP’s for plant and operations and proper Safety & PPE throughout the plant.
- Develop and train staff on equipment operations/mill troubleshooting.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Batch making and operation of process milling equipment.
- Follow batch tickets and document results as required.
- Safely operate a forklift.
- Support issues outside of normal schedule and be available for weekend and alternate shifts.

Kobo Products, Inc. located in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a motivated QC Lab Technician to join our team for 2nd shift. Willing to train candidates with limited work experience, but strong laboratory experience in an educational setting.
Job Requirements: - BS in Chemistry / Biological Sciences / Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 1-2 years working experience a plus (recent college graduates will receive on-site training)
- Strong color experience is a plus
- Must have the ability to multi-task and work with others in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work independently, prioritizing the work load
- Must have strong problem solving, communication, organizational, math, and computer skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools required, experience using Excel is a plus
- Background working with powders/dispersions in the personal care, pharma, or similar industry is preferred
- Exposure to GC and Ion Chromatography is a plus
- Must be able to lift at least ~25lbs.
Responsibilities Include: - Performing various wet, physical, and instrumental testing to monitor physical and chemical characteristics of pigment powders
- Measuring and evaluating color matches to standards
- Adhering to lab methods, SOP procedures, and documenting results of testing procedures in accordance with GMP standards and FDA regulations
- Interacting with QA/RD to make sure all non-conforming results are investigated
